¿QUÉ PASÓ CON NATH_666?
Natalia, an outgoing young woman with a gothic aesthetic, wants to become an influencer by creating witchcraft content with her friend Adrián, who films but prefers to stay off screen. Her channel is gaining traction, but to grow she decides to shoot a video evoking spirits with the glass-moving game. She brings together a group of girls with different attitudes: Eli (insecure and religious), Sofía (sceptical and defiant) and Ostara (drawn to the esoteric). Together they form a coven, while Adrián stays behind the camera.

Found footage is an emerging subgenre in Uruguay, and the few examples that have passed through the festival have delivered — and then some; some even took home awards. This feature is no exception. It is not aiming to be a rollercoaster full of jump scares; instead it relies on suggestion, as the tireless protagonist pursues her goal of performing a live ritual for her followers, while director-writer Jorge Pérez Rivero — here in his debut — constructs increasingly enigmatic and unsettling atmospheres as new characters arrive, particularly in the final mansion sequence.
