Mathilde Cordier, a young detective in the Criminal Investigation Division with a history of abuse, is dismissed after a failed intervention. After the disappearance of a young woman, Mathilde, operating outside the law, launches her own investigation and follows the trail of a man named François Renard, a man with a troubled and violent past who claims to have settled down. As she sinks into a spiral of darkness, Mathilde confronts the most monstrous aspects of humanity.

The film is based on real events and is disturbing in the way it reveals how far human monstrosity can go behind an ordinary appearance. By the end of the film, including its final credits, there is an implicit questioning of Belgian society itself, its own backyard, and the issue of kidnappings and disappearances. A very low-budget dramatic thriller with a disturbing subject matter and a certain influence from 1970s American cinema, directed and written by the young self-taught filmmaker Brandon Gotto, who presents a transgressive, intense and visceral style, combining extremely dark genre cinema with a social realism that inevitably leads to reflection. There is also a strong performance by the lead actress, Margaux Colarusso.
