LA NOCHE QUE NUNCA TERMINA
On a night of relentless storm, a woman caring for a bedridden elderly lady in an old mansion tunes in to a late-night radio programme about paranormal events. As the night deepens, callers share eerily similar testimonies: a disturbing occurrence that seems to have started with the storm, each claiming to have been visited by a deceased relative. That same night, the elderly woman dies due to the caregiver’s negligence. Gripped by panic, she locks the bedroom door and carries on as if nothing has happened — until strange sounds and knocking from the other side of the door make her suspect that, just like the radio callers described, the old woman may have returned from the dead.

A meticulous, carefully crafted debut from Franz Sanaz, who elevated every technical element — cinematography, sound, original score — in service of a suggestive narrative that builds, with increasing intensity, to deeply unsettling atmospheres and genuine chills. This one-man band (producer, director, screenwriter, sound designer, editor and composer) also teaches audiovisual production, screenwriting and sound at secondary and tertiary level, and has developed a parallel career as a composer and musician with an eclectic discography. The film continues after the end credits.
